While we start for launching a website, we should know how to connect webspace & domain name. Here is a tutorial about mapping domain name to Web Hosting space.
First of all you should have a domain name and web space with you. You can contact a nearby domain reseller and he will register a domain name and hosting space for you.
Mapping domain name to Web Hosting space :-
Now you will be having two control panels, one for domain name and another for webspace. On your domain name control panel you can see NS (Name server) settings options. On your web hosting control panel there will be NS settings details or IP.
How to map ?
Add the NS settings details or IP provided in the Web space control panel into the columns provided on the domain name control panel for inputing NS settings.
Now add the domain URL to the webhosting control pannel using Add domains option.
The above steps will help you to sucessfully map domain name (URL) to hosting space. Remember that NS settings changes will take upto 48 hours to propagate throughout the net and to become active.
